Teal and Orange - Creative LUT
DESCRIPTION:
This LUT can be applied after converting the footage to Rec. 709 using either a conversion LUT or manually through a color space transform tool. Download the free Conversion LUTs for CLog3 or SLog3 footage available on this site to streamline your workflow.
This Creative LUT will not work with the Nostalgic Hybrid LUT.
Give your footage a teal and orange color grade with ample room for your own adjustments using these creative LUTs.
The package includes 3 styles of Teal and Orange:
Standard - Applies a basic teal and orange starting point suitable for finer adjustments.
Lunacy - A specific version of teal and orange, with more emphasis on orange. Best for low-lit, night interiors, or sci-fi projects.
Cold - Can be applied to any exterior or interior shots and delivers a heavily contrasted image.
It’s highly recommended you adjust the strength of the Lunacy and Cold version of this LUT, based on the footage and your needs.
When shooting your footage, expose slightly over the middle of your exposure meter in LOG (around +1.3), or slightly under if shooting in a Standard profile (-1.3).
HOW TO APPLY:
In Adobe Premiere Pro: Using the Lumetri Color panel, import through the “Creative Look” tab.
In DaVinci Resolve: If using the Color Space Transform tool, add the creative LUT to a node in-between the Input CST and Output CST. If using the free Conversion LUTs from this store, add the creative LUT BEFORE the conversion node. For either workflow, perform other color grading adjustments BEFORE your Creative LUT node.
In Final Cut Pro: Drag the Custom LUT effect onto your clip, use the LUT dropdown to bring the creative LUT in through there ABOVE your conversion LUT effect if applying manually.
